Happy Sea Bass Day, "Dumb and Dumber" Fans

Today, March 25th is celebrated by fans of the 1994 hit comedy "Dumb and Dumber" for being the day to avoid a particular stall at a particular the truck stop restroom.

In the scene, Jim Carrey as Lloyd Christmas is relieving himself when he reads on the wall:

"For Manly Love, Be here March 25 at 2:15 AM Sharp."

He checks his watch and the minute, coincidentally, arrives. And so does the Sea Bass, a pissed-off trucker who apparently was the one who left the message on the stall wall. Earlier in their road trip, Lloyd and his buddy Harry Dunn accidentally hit Sea Bass with a salt shaker. Sea Bass retaliated by spitting on Harry's burger. Lloyd and Harry retaliated by leaving Sea Bass with with their diner tab.

Sea Bass by was played by Cam Neely, who at the time was a player on the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League.

"Dumb and Dumber" went on to gross $247 million against a $17 million budget. It's still regarded as one of the best comedies of the last 30 years. It was the third of three smash-hit comedies starring Jim Carrey that year, with the others being "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" and "The Mask."

So how do fans celebrate on March 25? If there's anything beyond posting the photo to social media and commenting your favorite "Dumb and Dumber" quotes, let us know. Until then, remember that spilling the salt is very bad luck and you can counteract it if you throw some over your shoulder.
